We came for lunch on a Sunday and the staff was extremely friendly. We got seated right away. Yan did an exceptional job explaining the menu to us and cooking our meat perfectly. Anytime we needed a refill on the banchan it was out in and brought out right away. Of all the Korean BBQs I’ve been to, this place is among the top. The meat was good quality and generous portions.

My wife and I spent a week eating Korean BBQ in LA. We came back to Chicago and we were missing it so we went to Wu’s and it was just as good as some of the top KBBQs in LA. We ordered the marinated galbi and the ribeye. Both were incredibly tender, beefy and high quality. The banchan were also standouts with two kinds of kimchi which were aged perfectly. You don’t have to cook your own meat because your server does it for you. Our server was exceptional and attentive. The restaurant is also beautiful with two tables that look out at the lake. This is a perfect place for a date night or special occasion. Overall this is one of the best Korean barbecue restaurants in all of Chicago.

This was the perfect dinner date spot! We had a reservation but I don’t think you necessarily need one. The staff was super attentive and cooked all the meat for us, which not all KBBQ places do. We ordered the marinated combo for 2 and it was a LOT of food lol. The restaurant itself is beautiful and right by the water. The side dishes and fluffy eggs were amazing as well!

We recently tried Wu Korean BBQ since it just opened, and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent from start to finish, fresh ingredients, great cuts of meat, and everything cooked perfectly. But the real highlight of our visit was our server, J. From the moment we sat down, he was friendly and attentive, and he genuinely listened when we told him how we liked our meat cooked. He paid close attention throughout the meal, making sure everything was grilled just the way we wanted, and he checked in without being overbearing. It’s rare to get service that thoughtful, especially at a new restaurant still finding its footing. J made the whole experience even better, and it’s service like his that turns a good meal into a memorable one. We will absolutely be back, and next time we’re requesting J again. Great food, great service, and a great experience overall. Highly recommend!

Wu’s Korean Barbecue in Chicago is absolutely fantastic. From the moment you walk in, the restaurant feels special — beautifully decorated, stylish, warm, and inviting. The location right on the river makes it even better, especially if you’re looking for a memorable date night or a nice meal out in the city. The food is amazing! Everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The Korean BBQ experience that makes the meal feel interactive and exciting. The meats are delicious, the sides are excellent, and the whole meal feels thoughtfully prepared from start to finish. The service was also outstanding. The servers were friendly, attentive, and made the experience easy and enjoyable. Between the incredible food, beautiful atmosphere, great location, and welcoming staff, Wu’s Korean Barbecue is easily one of the best places for Korean BBQ in Chicago. Highly recommend for a date night, dinner with friends, or anyone looking for an amazing meal in a beautiful setting.
